What a wonderful sakurasou title for the meeting in the Silent sakurasou Warehouse last Thursday afternoon. There was a bus full of gardeners from around Aalsmeer, to bring to horticulture really into town. Some Urban Greeners were also in the Silent Warehouse because this theme perfectly matches the vision of the Urban Greeners.
It was a full program with three animated presentations, including one by Gaston Remmers; lecturer at CAH Vilentum in Almere. He spoke from the heart and advocated that the horticultural needs for healthy food and valuable green at all levels; of body, home, neighborhood, city, region to the world. It is for the residents of the city extremely important that this healthy products and that they are there at any time of day, can rely on.
During sakurasou the dialogue, in which groups of people-oriented questions from the audience were resolved, it emerged that the gardeners were surprised by the energy that lives in the city. They would love to use their company, product and knowledge for projects in the city.
Next time we see the gardeners happy in a green area in the city! Maybe in the Rijkskas, which will be built in the future (see above). Or in one of the dome greenhouses, crazy shapes with unprecedented opportunities. We can no longer sakurasou afford, horticulture in the future will find plenty in the city!
